Things to do
Being where we are, although remote, we guarantee you’ll never be bored! From the beautiful landscapes and endless scenic footpaths, to local pubs and of course, the River Wye right on your doorstep.
Our campsite is suitable for all ages and a whole mix of groups. Just look at all we have to offer…
Canoeing & kayaking
Bring your own kayak or canoe, or hire from the brilliant Hereford Canoe Hire who are based onsite. With a dedicated launch and steps down to the beach, it’s one of the best places on the Wye to land and launch.
Fishing
With 300m of fishing rights along the banks of the River Wye, the campsite is ideal for experienced and budding fishermen alike! For more info and costs, click here.
Local walks
Situated in the heart of the breath-taking Wye Valley, there are numerous circular walks from the campsite for all ages and abilities. Detailed maps for these walks are available from the campsite office.
Campfires
Camping isn’t real camping without a campfire! We sell logs, kindling, matches and plenty of fire pit areas to help create that perfect camping experience. You just bring the marshmallows!
Four-legged friends
There are plenty of footpaths and riverside walks to wear the pooch out! And adjacent to the campsite we have a dog walking loop! Please keep dogs on a lead at all times in the campsite, and where directed to do so.
Wild swimming
Wild swimming is in! Never underestimate the river current (or the temperature!), but the beach provides wonderful river access for paddling toddlers through to wild swimmers. Great tips here for newbies.
Hosting groups
We love hosting family groups and have dedicated, fenced-off areas for everyone to camp together in their own area. Each ‘zone’ comes with a firepit and provides your group with a little extra privacy!

Scouts, DofE and more!
We also love hosting Scouts, DofE, school and church groups. We have a dedicated sports pitch for you to play anything from rounders, cricket, football or tug-of-war. With the river and Hereford Canoe Hire on the doorstep, it’s the perfect location for extra activities.
Please get in touch if you have any questions – we’d be delighted to help!
